7th Series Test Descritpion

7th Series Test Description

904 Old Dawson Rd., Smithville, GA

Land and Water Quad with a Flyer and 3 Retired Guns

The test is located on a beautiful area of this property. The mat faces SW on the back side of a gravel road that runs past the test area. There is a large technical pond that stretches out to the south of the mat. There are 4 gun stations in this test; 3 retired and a flyer. The grass here is well manicured around the water with strips of heavy broom straw on either side of the road.

The order of the birds will be as follows:

Bird #1 is a retired station on the SW side of the lake. They shoot and then throw a dead Duck right to left landing approximately 257 yards from the mat. They will then retire behind a well brushed blind. (we will refer to this bird as RR for Right Retired)

Bird #2 is also a retired gun station located on a long narrow point that runs from the east shore almost all the way to the west shore. These gunners will come out from behind huge clumps of pampas grass moving right. They shoot and then throw a dead Duck from left to right landing on the edge of the water approximately 164 yards from the line. They will then retire. (we will refer to this bird as SR for Short Retired)

Bird #3 is a located 241 years from the mat on a hill at the southeast corner of the pond. There are 4 bales of hay used as their blind. The gunners come out to the right. They shoot and then throw a Duck down the hill, landing in a broom grass area. The gunners will then retire. (we will refer to this bird as LR for Left Retired)

Bird #4 is the Flyer Station. The guns are on the Northwest side of the pond in front of the mat. The guns are in a well mowed area with water that is around it. These guns throw and then shoot a Duck landing in the water approximately 166 yards from the mat. Then sluice. (we will refer to this bird as F for Flyer)

There is an honor after the 4 birds have been retrieved.

This test is taking approximately 9-11 minutes per dog to complete.
