Callbacks to the 8th Series

24 dogs are called back: 1, 2, 5, 9, 16, 21, 23, 25, 26, 29, 31, 44, 51, 55, 63, 65, 66, 69, 72,  89, 90, 103, 106 and 108.

10 dogs dropped: 7, 13, 15,  37,  45, 47, 53, 58, 81, and 104.

Dog #23 Will Start the 8th Series Test


INSTRUCTIONS:

8th Series will be at the Jack Unbehaun Property - Will be signed off Hwy 49

Test Dogs will run at 6:45 am

Callbacks will be given on the blog along with starting #.

7th Series – Land Quad with a Flyer and 3 Retired Guns

34 Dogs Started this Series

Test Dogs started out this series on Thursday morning at 8:49 am, beginning with "Whimsey," handled by Betsy Broyd.and then "Earl," handled by John Higgins. 

The first running dog of this series was #1. 2XNFC-3XCNFC TRULINE’S JUST FLOYD, “Floyd,” with handler Amie HenningerThey came to the line at 8:20 am.


The weather to start this series was a bit cold, but the skies were clear and the day was sunny with temps getting up to 74 degrees . Winds were not really a factor.

Here is how things turned out for the 7th Series …

Our last running dog for this Series was dog #
108. FC-AFC BULLET’S ORDAINED DEVIL DODGER, “Deacon,” with handler Tim Milligan. They completed the test at 3:17 pm.

34 dogs were sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 6 hours and 57 minutes, which averages out to be just over 12 minutes per dog.

108. FC-AFC BULLET’S ORDAINED DEVIL DODGER, “Deacon,” BLM, Tim Milligan

Came to the line at 3:03 pm

F - Across the tip of the point and he got his flyer

SR - Deacon jumped in the water and swims directly to the bird. Nice job!

RR - Taking water all the way to the first point - crossing over the point and into the water - around the edge and right on the bird.

LR - Great line through both pieces of water - out and around to grab the bird. Great ending to this Series!

106. FC-AFC BOO’S STRAIGHT LINE IS GOOD IDEA, “Torq,” BLM, Isaac Langerud

Came to the line at 2:52 pm

F - Out on the point - a huge jump into the water and got his bird

SR - Swam to the fall area and got it

RR - Ran out to the end of the point and then turned right and away from the bird - swam straight across and all the way up the hill - back down to the blind and started his hunt low - got it

LR - Into the 1st cove - over the point - 2nd cove - up and over to the bird


89. NAFC-FC BAYOU-STAR FLEURTY GIRL, “Fleurt,” BLF, Alan Pleasant

Came to the line at 2:42 pm

F - Nice flyer

SR - Across the water and onto the point - grabbed her bird and headed back in

RR - Jumps in the water - swam around the point - lands on the far point - checks the land on the shore and was on to the bird

LR - Took the last piece of water - exited water to go straight and arrive at the bird. Nice mark.









104. FC BLACK SPELL BREW, “Brew,” BLM, Jerry Patopea

Came to the line at 2:30 pm

F - Long bird - Nice job!

SR - Straight across to the bird

RR - Into the pond - angled towards the next point -  right of the bale  - beached on the far shore in front of the guns for a loop - had a big hunt very wide right and deep out of the area - went up the hill and road - back down for his bird

LR - Ran the road all the way around behind the gunners blind - worked his way down to the bird



103. FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE PAINT THE BLACK, “Madduxx,” BLM, Craig Crook

Came to the line at 2:17 pm

F - Very good

SR - Big entry into the pond and he went right across to the bird

RR - Off the end of the near edge and across to the far shore - down the far shore and he located his bird

LR - Along the shoreline - to the last piece of water - crossed and went straight to the bird





90. FC THIEVEN COUNTRY GRAMMAR, “Nelly,” BLF, Mark Smith

Came to the line at 2:08 pm

F - Took off across the large point - made quick work of this bird!

SR - Into the pond and out to the holding blind - circled and then out to the bird - got it

RR - Out between 2 large pampas trees - straight across the pond - way right behind the guns - deep up the hill - came back down to the holding blind - on down to the shore and located the bird

LR - Over a good piece of the first point - back into the pond - out towards the fall area and stepped on her bird

Rerun 65. FC-AFC DRY CREEKS TRU BLU, “Trudy,” BLF, Alan Pleasant

Came to the line at 1:57 pm for a Rerun

F - Nice bird!

SR - A big splash and she crossed the water on her way to grab her bird

RR - Came off the near shoreline and landed at the gunners holding blind - drove up the bank and covered alot of real estate - worked her way down - made a loop on the point - back around and then finally to the bird

LR - Good job on this bird!



81. FC-AFC RAZOR’S PRICELESS CUTTING EDGE, “Allie,” BLF, Hunter Street

Came to the line at 1:45 pm

F - Over and back quickly with her flyer

SR - Out to the short retired area - a couple quick turns and she got it

RR - Out to the far point after hunting the SR point -  on to the island for a hunt - onto the bank in the fall area - and she found her bird

LR -  Swam from the last point straight to the pampas grass - over the levee and out deep - up the hill - back around and she got it!



72. FC-AFC DAYS END BOY NAME SUE QA2, “Sue,” BLM, Mark Medford

Came to the line at 1:31 pm

F - Out and back in with his bird!

SR - Across to the point - a quick look from the gunners to the bird and he has got it!

RR - Off the initial shoreline - he swam across to the far shore - drove the bank for a quick pass deep - dropped down to the fall area and located his bird

LR - Cut the tip of the last piece of water - started to hunt deep and left of the bird - worked his way down to the bird and got it



69. FC TOPLINES EVERLASTING ROCK QA2, “Rocky,” BLM, Marc Patton

Came to the line at 1:28 pm

F - Nice job!

SR - Swam and went right over the top of her bird - out on the bank for a quick loop and then quickly back to the bird

RR - Out off the end of the big point - angled left and swam towards the guns - backsided the blind and quickly continued on to his bird

LR - Down the shore and right to the bird - got it!






Rerun 53. FC REDGATE’S COALFIRED YETI, “Yeti,” BLF, Chris Ledford

Came to the line at 1:15 pm

F - Very good

SR - Very good again!

RR - Off the end of the shoreline and squared across tot he far shore - drove the bank and turned right - covered some ground deep and right of the gunners - quickly circled left to drop down into the area of the bird - got it and headed home

LR - Along the shoreline to the last cove of water - made a bee-line to the bird!

Came to the line at 1:04 pm

F - Out across the point - onto the point and into the pond and got it

SR - Across the field -swam the channel  - out on the point and straight to the bird

RR - Out between 2 large pampas bushes and squared the pond - came out very wide right of the blind way behind the guns - ran the bank down to the bird and got it

LR - Took a toe nail into the 1st water over the point - back into the water - came out and straight to the fall area and the bird






No-Bird 65. FC-AFC DRY CREEKS TRU BLU, “Trudy,” BLF, Alan Pleasant

Trudy and Alan came to the line and had a No-Bird, they will be back after 6 running dogs

63. FC OGF MATTY ROBERTS MH QA2, “Matty,” BLF, Tim Milligan

Came to the line at 12:48 pm

F -  Through the broom sage and across the point - across the water and to the bird

SR - Across the field into the pond - under the arc - established a hunt around the holding blind and then found her bird in the water

RR - Out left of the pampas grass along the side of the point and across to the tip of the island - swam a straight line to the far point - up and over into the water and to the bird

LR - Down the shore - across the cove - digging in with her right shoulder - straight to the bird

Handle 58. FC DISCOVERING NEW LANDS, “Chris,” BLM, Ty Rorem

Came to the line at 12:20 pm

F - Crouching down and ready to rumble! Chris was launched and was back with his bird in a jiffy.

SR - Landed on the point - crossed just right of the holding blind and did a couple loops behind the gunners - back to the other side of the point and got his bird

RR - Squared across from the closest edge to cross the pond - came up the far side to make a few passes along the bank to the holding blind and pampas grass - at the grass he came down and got the bird

LR - He got to the first point but got hung up in the SRG area and was handled back - he proceeded and was handled again off the second point to the bird


55. FC-AFC MARSHWIND’S TURBULENCE, “Evie,” BLF, Bente Kongsore

Came to the line at 12:10 pm

F - Smack!

SR - Across the field and into the pond under the arc - quick turn and back up to her bird

RR - Across the large point between the flyer guns and pampas -swam to the far shore way right of the blind - went deep and started hunting - worked down the far side to the left - past the blind to the cove and located the bird

LR - Got a toe nail in the 1st cove of water - straight through lunging water - up deep of the blind - quickly back and down the hill to her bird





No-Bird 53. FC REDGATE’S COALFIRED YETI, “Yeti,” BLF, Chris Ledford

Yeti and Chris came to the line at 12:07 pm and had a No-Bird, they will go back 6 running dogs

Handle 51. FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE EXPRESS, “Ryan,” BLF, Lauren Hays

Came to the line at 11:55 am

F - Very good

SR - Entered the point under the arc of the fall - turned right and she had her bird

RR - Off the near shore - she squared across the water - climbed up the bank and turned to run left and down to grab her bird

LR - Crossed the point with the SR bird and broke down - she was handled off this point and further down was handled off the next point and she was able to recover her bird






47. FC 4 PAWS STINGRAY, “Vette,” BLM, Isaac Langerud

Came to the line at 11:45 am

F - Across the large point - across the water and right to the bird

SR - Caught a narrow bit of water behind the blind - circled and came around - had a short hunt and got it

RR - Out left of the pampas grass - across the 1st water - angled  right across the point - swam towards the next point and then the island - went to the top of the levee and turned right - swung around and came down to his bird

LR - Went wide left - deep left - never got wet on the way! - he worked it out thought and got his bird


Rerun 26. FC LL’s ROLLING THUNDER WITH LIGHTNING, “Flash,” YLM, Loran Marmes IV

Came to the line at 11:37 am for a Rerun

F - Over and out straight to the bird

SR - Landed on the point - turned right and he had his bird!

RR - Pulled right as he swam across the pond - got to the far shore and ran deep and left of the mark - quickly recovered and dropped over to scoop up his bird

LR - Out along the shoreline -  he entered the last body of water - and land in the area under the arc - turned right and dropped down to grab his bird

44. FC MONTERREY FARMS SOUTHERN CHARM QA2, “Scarlett,” BLF, Ty Rorem

Came to the line at 11:26 am

F - Excellent line out to her flyer

SR - Ran to the water - straight across and made 1 loop to the bird

RR - Crossed the road - between the pampas bushes  - swam towards the area on shore in front of the blind under the arc - turned left to go down the shore and straight to the bird

LR - Down the shore line - drove hard across the cove to the top of the hill by the blind - quick corkscrew turn and down to the bird - got it

45. FC-AFC THE TIN MAN, “Tor,” BLM, Marcy Wright

Came to the line at 11:15 am

F - Quick recovery of his flyer

SR - Good line across the area and through the water directly to the bird

RR - Nice line to the bird and a stellar recovery!

LR -  Great line - Tor went just left of the SR gunners - got past the last water and pulled up the dam to loop behind the gunners - went down the back side of the dam and around the gunners and over to the bird


Handle 37. FC-AFC SEASIDE’S GOT THAT ITCH AGAIN, “Ivy,” BLF, Craig Crook

Came to the line at 11:01 am

F - Smack! Very nice!

SR - Through the cover - across the road - got a toe nail of water behind the blind - out and circled moving along the point - got it

RR - Right of the pampas - swam in the open water - not close to the large point - angled across the pond to the area right of the blind - ran to the shore end and got out on the island - went up and down into the pond - along the levee - got into the pond and headed to the LR area - handled back to this bird

LR - Nice line out across the 1st point - onto the 2nd and was wide right - adjusted her line and ran to the bird



31. FC-AFC H FORD 11, “Deuce,” BLM, Alex Drent

Came to the line at 10:51 am

F - Very good!

SR - Onto the point and under the arc - he went right and curved into the bird

RR - Good initial line - pulled across to the island - squared across to shore and grabbed his bird

LR - Splashed along the shore of the far water - drove the edge up to the holding blind - a sharp turn and down to the bird - got it!
