1st Series Test Description
1458 GA-308, Smithville, GA
Land Double with 1 Retired Gun and a Flyer
We arrived in the dark today with workers going in every direction! It is warm and foggy with a shower on the way. It is currently 66 degrees with mist and temps expected to go up to 80 degrees.
The mat for this test sits on the side of a hill facing Northeast. The dog and handler are looking out across a large rolling field with slight undulations. Hay bales are scattered around. There is a mound slightly left of the retired gunners.
The order of the birds will be as follows:
Bird #1 is the dead rooster located at 210 yards from the mat. The gunners come out from a well brushed blind on the right side. They shoot and then throw to the right, with the bird landing to the right of a large bale that is hip pocket to the flyer guns. (We will refer to this bird as LR for Left Retired)
Bird #2 is a rooster flyer. This gun station is located 225 yards out and to the right of the retired gun station. The gunners come out and throw the bird, then shoot left to right. This bird lands a little deep and right of the gunners. (We will refer to this bird as F for Flyer)
This test is taking approximately 5 minutes to complete per dog.
Dog #64 Starts this Series
